Shelby County is conveniently located for both in-state and out-of-state visitors. I-64 runs directly through the county’s biggest cities. A half-hour drive west of Shelby County will get you to I-65, whereas a half-hour drive east connects you to I-75.
Multiple major airports are within driving distance as well. Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is a 30-minute drive, Blue Grass Airport in Lexington (LEX) is 50 minutes away, and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) can be reached in 90 minutes. More than 50 U.S. cities offer a non-stop destination to one of these three airports.
